With Teachable, you are given three templates when creating a course.
Blank template. You start with nothing and build a course the way you want.
Mini-course. You can create a brief course to build your authority and audience
Standard course. You will create an in-depth course that provides a lot of value for your students.

With this feature, you are able to view video engagement data, leaderboard, quiz grades, and many more.
Video stats allow you to view the following features:
- Engagement – The video percentage watched by your students on average
- Play rate – The percentage of students who click your video and actually watch
- Visitors – How many students visited your video page
- Plays – How many students view your video
- Loads – The number of videos loaded by your students
Quiz grades section let you see:
- Average score – Displays the average score by all of the students enrolled in the course
- Min score – The lowest score out of all the students in the course
- Max score – The highest score out of all the students in the course
- Total completed – The overall number of students that have completed the quiz
- Rank – The student’s rank in comparison to others in the course
- Name – The student’s name
- Progress – The percentage of students who completed the course

With Teachable, you also have the option to offer one-on-one coaching on the platform. The software makes it easy for you to maintain a relationship with your student by giving you tools to manage scheduling time, host video calls, and provide assignments.
One way you can implement coaching to your students is to offer it as an upsell. Teachable offers two ways to provide upsells, which include upsells within lectures, or upsells in thank you pages.
To include upsell from your lecture, you need to go to the “Curriculum” and click “Add Upsell.”

Teachable allows you to easily integrate with third-party apps, such as AWeber, Infusionsoft, Convertkit, Zapier, Mailchimp, and many more.

With a free plan, you will be able to integrate with Google Analytics and Sumo. But you will need to upgrade to paid plans if you want to have access to all of the options available.
Another great feature of Teachable is that it allows you to create an affiliate program for your course.
In other words, you can recruit affiliates to promote your course and get new students for your course for free, with no additional work.
The caveat is that this feature is only available for the professional plan and up.
If you want to activate an affiliate program, you can click on “Students.”
You can then select any of your student as an affiliate by activating the affiliate program for them.
Also, you can view details of affiliate activity by accessing the affiliate dashboard.
These details include:
- Commission rate – The percentage your affiliate will receive from each sale.
- Affiliate code – A personal code that you can give to your affiliates, so they can get credit for referring new students.
- Cookie period – How long the cookie will be active for your affiliates to be eligible to receive credits.
